Every day after hoofball practice, Pippa tied her navy bow, clicked open her craft tin, and added one neat decoration to the clubhouse wall. She had set herself a rule: no horn-sparkles, only hooves, glue, and whatever paper smelled the most like fresh crayons.
Until one day, a sneeze launched her glue cap into the air—plip!—and her half-finished hearts stuck to a pile of black-and-white game tiles. Because of that, Pippa had polka dots on her nose, stripes in her mane, and three giggling daisies watching from paper cups. Because of that, she snipped the stuck tiles into squares, pressed them onto the hearts, and made a checkered pattern so snazzy it looked almost on purpose.
By sunset, the clubhouse wall twinkled with wobbly stars, smiling flowers, and hearts made by her own sticky hooves. “No magic,” Pippa whispered, puffing with pride. Next time you spot her bow, see if you can find the sneeze-started hearts that still smell a little like fresh crayons.
