🎨 How to color it

Color the tiger deep orange with inky black stripes, give the flying rock shards smoky gray edges, and shade the speed-line background pale blue. Use sharp colored pencils for the narrow stripe shapes and claw tips, then switch to smooth marker fills on the tiger’s broad shoulders and legs. Add a yellow-white glow under the front paws so the leap feels like it burst from hidden energy.

The story behind this coloring page

In the warm notch beneath a cliff, Arden pressed his cheek to the dust and listened for the cool hum of an echo-stone. He wanted one small stone for his sleeping hollow, where the noon heat made the air wobble. A thin chime answered from the old quarry beyond the thorn grass. Arden squeezed through, leaving a tuft of fur on the brambles, and padded into stone-smell and silver light.

A cricket with glassy wings sat on a cracked slab. “That one is not for keeping,” she chirped. “It is a door-knocker.” Arden tapped the singing shard anyway. The ground rang—gong!—and the quarry wall split into floating pieces. To get back, Arden leaped through the tumbling rocks, claws scraping sparks, roar shaking loose a secret tunnel of cool wind.

He returned with no echo-stone, only a pebble warm from his paw and a breeze that curled straight into his hollow. That night, the den hummed softly around him, as if it had been waiting to become exactly his. If you spot the stones flying, can you tell which one first rang like a door-knocker?
