🎨 How to color it

Use apple red for the big round fruit, leafy green and golden yellow for the three oak leaves, and chestnut brown for the acorn cap and shell. Chunky crayons are perfect for the wide apple shape; if little hands go over the thick lines, that is okay. Try making one oak leaf orange, one yellow, and one green so the September bunch looks extra busy.

Every day, Pip the acorn waited for whoosh-whoosh wind to roll him down Oak Hill. He wanted a fast September ride. One day, bump! A red apple rolled into the leaves and stuck in a root.

“Help!” squeaked the apple. Pip could have rolled away, but he nudged and pushed. Scritch, scritch went his cap. Because of that, the apple popped free. Because of that, it rolled to the path for a hungry chipmunk. At last, Pip rode one tiny gust beside it. Can you find the little acorn who shared his wind?
