🎨 How to color it

Color the Merlion pearl white with a teal water stream, make Marina Bay Sands warm silver, and give the orchids purple petals with yellow centers. Use broad marker fills on the skyline and map, then switch to a sharpened pencil for the Merlion’s mane lines and the orchids’ ruffled edges. Try a pale sunset peach behind the domed gardens so the white Merlion and bright flowers stand out.

Under the warm bay lights, Nira set herself a challenge: follow the Merlion’s water ribbon to its last sparkle before the evening horn went hooo. She slipped from her favorite step by the fountain, past the tall hotel that looked like it carried a boat, and toward the quiet domes. Mist kissed her cheeks. Then she heard a tiny dry tick-tick from the orchid beds.

Three orchid cups sat empty under the leaves, where no visitor would notice. Nira had only one little bottle. If she used it, she would miss the final sparkle. “You first,” she whispered, pouring until the roots smelled fresh and green. A silver drop rolled from a petal into the path, making a new ribbon straight back home. When you see the Merlion’s stream, can you find Nira’s secret water ribbon too?
