🎨 How to color it

Color the big cookie golden brown, the chocolate chips dark brown, the cupcakes pink and vanilla, and the loaf of bread toasty tan. Use chunky crayons for the cookie’s wide round middle, and don’t worry if little hands color over the bumpy chip lines. Try making the tiny stars yellow and the hearts red so the bakery shelf feels like a secret party.

Behind the warm bakery shelf, Pip heard tap-tap, crinkle-crink. He rolled closer. “Psst, what’s in there?” he whispered. The bread snored. The cupcakes said nothing.

Pip bumped a tiny crumb by the wall. Pop! A secret door opened, and out tumbled shiny chocolate pebbles, sweet-smelling and bumpy. Plip, plop, plip! They stuck all over Pip’s soft round tummy. Ever since that night, cookies keep chocolate chips right where curious noses can find them. Can you spot Pip’s first bumpy secrets?
