🎨 How to color it

Color the cookie golden brown, the chunky chips milk chocolate, the tiny crumbs caramel, and the surrounding stars lemon yellow. Because the cookie is one big round shape with bold outlines, chunky crayons or markers can fill it quickly while kids save the little sprinkles for careful dabs. Try making the swirl doodles alternate pink and blue so the cookie looks like it is floating through silly candy confetti.

The story behind this coloring page

Crumbs for the Moon Moth — Every evening, Bixby rolled across the cooling rack to collect fallen sprinkles for a shiny sugar crown. Read the full story →

Every evening, Bixby rolled across the cooling rack to collect fallen sprinkles for a shiny sugar crown. He liked the clink-clink sound in the tin and the warm vanilla smell drifting from the ovens.

Until one night, a fuzzy moon moth bumped the bakery window with a papery pat-pat. “Psst,” it whispered, “any crumbs for a tired wing?” Because of that, Bixby tipped his sprinkle tin. Because of THAT, the moth sneezed sugar dust all over him—poof!—and the stars outside seemed to giggle.

At sunrise, the baker found Bixby plain, except for one secret sparkle stuck near his smile. Nobody knew where his sprinkles had gone. But next time you spot the tiny stars around Bixby, can you guess who flew away full and happy?
