🎨 How to color it

Color the macaron tower in pistachio green, blush pink, lemon yellow, and lavender, with ruby raspberries on top, warm brass on the hanging lantern, and leafy jade plants around the shelves. Use sharp colored pencils for the crumbly filling lines, tiny seeds, jar cookies, and shelf details, then switch to broader strokes for the smooth macaron shells and cake stand. Try making each macaron layer a gentle ombré from darker edges to a pale center, so the stack looks extra tall and bakery-window bright.

The story behind this coloring page

Every afternoon, when the brass lantern gave its tiny clink over the counter, Saffron sorted the parlor’s macarons by color and resisted eating the biggest one. She wanted the raspberry-crowned macaron at the very top, but Aunt Cress had one rule: nobody touched the tower until the cream settled. So Saffron invented Wobble-Wait, a game where she tapped the pedestal once, counted every wiggle, and promised herself the winner would be the first cookie that sat perfectly still.

Until one day, the tower wobbled back five times: plip, plip, plip, plip, plip. Because of that, Saffron added rules involving blinks, toe-squints, and a very serious crumb referee. Because of THAT, the customers joined in, whispering numbers while the shop smelled like almonds and warm sugar. A teapot on the shelf seemed to hold its breath.

At last the top macaron stopped trembling, but not before a raspberry rolled down and booped Saffron’s nose. “The referee accepts payment,” she announced, and waited one extra minute before lifting her prize. Next time you spot that high raspberry crown, listen for the lantern’s tiny clink.
