🎨 How to color it

Color the gingerbread cookie warm cinnamon brown, the icing cuffs snowy white, the three buttons gumdrop blue, and the candy cane bright red and white. Use broad crayon or marker strokes for the big cookie shape, then switch to a sharper pencil for the wavy icing and candy cane stripes. Try making the cheeks soft pink and adding a pale mint shadow behind the candy cane so the red stripes pop.

The story behind this coloring page

Each evening, under the sugar-glass dome, Nori polished the tiny solstice bell and listened to its clear ting-ting answer. He wanted to ring it when the first blue star appeared, but the bell rope hung beside the tall candy cane, higher than his frosted hand dared reach.

Until one day, a peppermint smell curled from the cane’s quietest white stripe. Because of that, Nori pressed one button to it, and a little paper door popped open with a soft tick. Because of THAT, a silver thread slid down, cool as moonlight. “I can try,” Nori whispered.

He tugged once. The bell sang over the dome, bright and small, and sugar dust shimmered like snow. Next time you spot the striped cane, see if you can guess which stripe kept Nori’s surprise.
