🎨 How to color it

Use bright red for the helmet and hydrant, sunny yellow for the coat stripes, and sky blue for the fire truck windows. Chunky crayons are perfect for the big helmet, coat, hose, and hydrant shapes, and it is okay if little hands color outside the lines. Add a secret silver badge on the helmet and a rainbow swirl inside the coiled hose.

The story behind this coloring page

Behind the warm fire station door, Pip heard tinka-tink. He wanted the little hose bell for the truck parade. “Psst, hear that?” he whispered.

Pip stepped past the tall ladder, past the shiny truck, to the cool red hydrant. His boot splashed in one tiny puddle—plip! He paid with one wet sock. Under the hydrant cap, where nobody peeked, sat the bell…and a sleepy cricket singing tinka-tink.

Pip carried the cricket back in the hose loop. Next time you see Pip’s round hose, can you keep the tinka-tink secret?
