🎨 How to color it

Color the fox rusty orange with a cream chest and tail tip, make the spotted mushrooms red and tan, and shade the tall tree trunks warm brown. Use sharp colored pencils for the small fern leaves, mushroom dots, and bark swirls, then switch to broader strokes for the open path. Try a cool green forest behind the fox so its orange coat feels bright and ready to leap forward.

Every day after breakfast, Pip trotted the same bendy path and tapped three stones with his paw: tap, tap, tap. He wanted a game that could make even the old trees feel new, so he invented Trail of Dares: follow the strangest thing you notice, then ask what it might be hiding. Until one day, a mushroom cap popped with a peppery puff and left a glowing speck on his nose.

Because of that, Pip chased the speck past fern fronds that tickled like wet feathers. Because of THAT, he found a line of tiny footprints circling flowers, stones, and mushrooms in impossible loops. “Race me if you can!” squeaked a voice under the roots.

At last, Pip grinned and changed the rules: instead of chasing, he placed one paw on the path and waited. The footprints raced back to him, spelling TURN AROUND in dust. Next time you spot Pip on the bendy path, see if his nose still carries one peppery, glowing speck.
