🎨 How to color it

Give the knight’s helmet a shiny silver, the feather plume a bright red, the sword a sunny gold, and the crown on the stone a royal blue. Use chunky crayons to fill the big helmet, tunic, stone, and sky spaces; it is fine if little hands color over the bold lines. Try making the three clouds pale purple so the red plume and gold sword look extra brave.

Psst—under the puffy clouds, Niko carried a wooden sword he made himself. Tap-tap went his little hammer that morning; snip-snip went the red feather on top.

On the hill, a rock wobbled. “What’s inside?” Niko whispered. He pushed his sword into the crack—clunk! Out popped a secret crown stamp, dusty and gold-smelling. Niko pressed it on the rock, with leaves and a star. Ever since, knights mark brave stones with crowns. Can you spot Niko’s proud crown-stone secret?
