🎨 How to color it

Color the pony’s coat honey chestnut, its flowing mane and tail in caramel and cream stripes, the winding path sandy tan, and the meadow flowers sunny yellow. Use sharp colored pencils for the narrow hair ribbons, tail bands, flower petals, and tufts of grass, then fill the pony’s larger body shape with smooth, even strokes. Try a pale blue-to-white sky behind the round sun and clouds so the warm pony looks as if it is trotting through morning light.

The story behind this coloring page

Before sunrise, when the valley smelled of wet clover and cool dirt, Sora trotted from hill to hill with the dawn bell tied in her mane. She needed one place to ring it, not too high for the rabbits, not too low for the larks. Every clearing sounded wrong: clank in the briars, clunk by the reeds, thunk beside the sleepy molehills.

Then her hoof tapped a loose stone in the crooked path. Click. Not clank. Not clunk. The stone tipped up, and tucked beneath it was a silver seed, humming like a secret bee. “You were under the road?” Sora whispered. The seed rolled into her hoofprint, and warm light curled out in two golden lines.

Here is the part most ponies only tell their best friends: the path was not made by carts or paws. It grew from that seed, following Sora’s steps as she rang the bell once—clear as dew on glass. Ever since, meadow paths curve because they are trying to remember the pony who finally stood exactly where she belonged; next time you see that little bend by the flowers, keep the secret for Sora.
