🎨 How to color it

Try a lavender body for the pony, bubblegum pink and teal stripes in the curled mane and tail, golden stars, and a soft rainbow over the clouds. Use chunky crayons or markers for the pony and rainbow bands, then save a sharper pencil for the tiny stars, swirls, and eyelashes. For a playful twist, make each little wing feather a different pastel so they look like handmade party decorations.

Every afternoon, Junie stacked grass stems into tiny gates and marched under them, clip-clop, clip-clop, pretending they were parade arches. She wanted one tall enough for her wings, but every stem flopped in the warm hilltop breeze.

Until one day, a small cloud rolled down with a sneeze. “A-choo-glue!” it puffed, splattering sticky silver mist on her hooves. Because of that, Junie pressed bent reeds, flower petals, and shiny pebbles together. Because of THAT, the cloud hiccuped five colored bands across the sky, and stars popped out like giggles.

Finally, Junie tucked the last feather-shaped petal into place and pranced under her very own rainbow arch. The grass smelled sweet, her hooves were a little sticky, and she stood so proud beside the cloud’s puffy feet. Can you find the shiny stars that popped out when Junie made her own parade arch, clip-clop, clip-clop?
