🎨 How to color it

Color the pony a soft buttercream yellow, its curly mane and tail peachy pink, the star mark sky blue, and the daisies white with golden centers. Use chunky crayons for the pony’s big body and legs, then switch to a sharper crayon or pencil for the tiny flower petals and mane curls. Try making the smiling cloud pale lavender instead of plain white so the pony’s bright star really pops.

The story behind this coloring page

How Ponies Got Stars — At the edge of Cloverbend Meadow, Tilly tapped one hoof on the cool grass. Read the full story →

At the edge of Cloverbend Meadow, Tilly tapped one hoof on the cool grass. She wanted to cross the hill path by herself, past the tall daisies and the place where the wind made hush-hush sounds. Her curls tickled her cheek. “Just one hill,” she whispered.

A tiny cloud drifted low, smelling like rain on warm stones. It carried a shivery blue sparkle that had slipped from the evening sky. “I don’t know where to put it,” the cloud sighed. Tilly took three small steps forward. Her knees wobbled, but her voice stayed gentle. “You can rest it here.”

The sparkle touched her side and became a star, warm as a night-light. Tilly crossed the hill path, slow step, brave step, soft step, while the cloud smiled above her. Ever since, meadow ponies have worn stars to remember the first small courage under a hush-hush wind—can you find Tilly’s star waiting on her side?
