Every evening, Rafi practiced quick little hops beside the sugar carnival, trying to earn a spot on the tall dessert stand before the parade drum went boom-boom-boom. He could smell caramel corn, hear candy flags snapping, and feel his striped wrapper crinkle whenever the other cupcakes spun proudly past. Until one day, the stand rolled away without him—and a loose silver sprinkle clinked from its bottom shelf.
Because of that, Rafi ducked under the wobbling tier where nobody ever looked and found a map scratched in sugar glaze: THIRD SHELF, CENTER POLE, TURN FAST. Because of THAT, he bounced through a tunnel of cart wheels, lemon lanterns, and fizzy soda spray, shouting, “Hold the frosting!” as the parade turned toward the bridge.
Until finally, Rafi reached the stand’s center pole, twisted the hidden knob, and the shelves opened into a perfect cupcake-sized gap. The crowd roared like popping candy. Nestled among cherries, roses, and stars, Rafi knew the rush had led him exactly where he belonged—can you spot the place that waited for him before the parade drum went boom-boom-boom?
