🎨 How to color it

Layer the large roses in blush pink, the smaller buds in coral, the leaves in sage and olive greens, and the wrapper’s floral bands in soft lavender. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny wrapper scrolls, berry circles, leaf veins, and banner lettering, saving broader blended strokes for the rose petals. Try a warm-to-cool shift from peachy flowers at the bottom to rosy mauve near the top banner, so the bouquet feels like it is rising.

The story behind this coloring page

Every day, Marlo kept the conservatory cart in strict petal order: roses facing east, wrapper vines dusted clean, banner curled just so. The air smelled of wet leaves and vanilla sugar, and no crumb dared wander. Then a brass-backed pollen beetle rolled out from under a bud, sneezed gold dust, and shouted, “Your flowers are standing too politely!”

Because of that sneeze, one rose opened with a pop. Because of that pop, three berries bounced into the frosting swirls like marbles, leaving pink tracks. Marlo tried to scold the beetle, but a laugh shook loose from her wrapper, then another, until the whole cart trembled. Finally, she tipped her tallest bloom and let the sweet petals tumble onto every saucer waiting below. By closing time, the conservatory smelled of roses, sugar, and mischief, and not one crumb dared wander alone.
