Every day, Junia rolled along the cloud-high bypass and counted stripes in puddles: red splat, blue splat, yellow splat, honk! She wanted a game no other monster truck had tried, so she invented Rainbow Tollbooth: every driver had to pay one shiny color token before crossing her pretend gate.
Until one day, the real rainbow above the bypass faded to dishwater gray, and all the cloud sheep began bumping into fence posts with soft poofs. Because of that, Junia charged double tokens, grinning as scooters, snails, and one grumpy kite paid up. Because of that, her secret glove box filled with enough sparkle to repaint the sky, but nobody saw her tiptoe-tire backward after sunset.
Finally, Junia launched every token into the mist with a sneezy “Cha-choo!” Colors snapped overhead, bright and wet as candy wrappers, and the cloud sheep marched straight. Next time you spot her ribbon ends fluttering, see if you can tell which rainbow stripe cost Junia her very last blue splat.
