Every day after lunch, Zuzu bobbed in the splash park canal and counted sunbeams on her rind: one, two, three, sizzle! She wanted to invent the wiggliest game ever, so she named it Shadow Tag. The rule was simple: if her shadow touched a ripple, the ripple had to chase her. “No peeking, Sun!” she called, smelling warm grass and sweet melon juice.
Until one day, a sneaky ripple tagged her float first. Because of that, Zuzu kicked too hard and spun past the fountain ducks. Because of THAT, her round sunglasses slid crooked, and every shadow looked like a secret tunnel. She followed the darkest one until—plop!—it led right back to her starting spot. Finally, Zuzu declared herself winner, loser, and referee, all at once. Next time you spot her grin, can you tell which ripple is still “it”?
