🎨 How to color it

Try silver-gray fur for the wolf, pearl white wings with pale lavender shadows, butter-yellow stars, and a soft blue crescent moon. Use sharp colored pencils for the many feather layers, coloring each row from the outer tips inward so the wings stay crisp. Add a gentle pink-to-indigo night gradient behind the clouds, leaving the curled wind trails bright white so they look airy.

High above the sleeping hills, Liora padded from cloud to cloud with a ribbon of cool mist in her teeth. She wanted to tie the little clouds together before dawn, but each knot puffed loose with a soft whoof. The stars hummed like tiny bees. “Stay, please,” she whispered, and waited.

One cloud, round as a wool pillow, did not float away. Liora rested her chin on it and felt something tickle her nose—smooth, light, and warm as milk. Hidden deep in the cloud were two folded moonfeathers, silver at the edges. She tucked them along her shoulders, and the feathers opened with a hush.

When Liora lifted into the dark, her new wings combed the drifting clouds into gentle heaps. Ever since, sky-wolves carry moonfeathers, and patient clouds gather under them; if you trace the curled wind beside her paws, you may find the first soft whoof still waiting.
