🎨 How to color it

Color the astronaut suit bright white with sky-blue trim, the birthday rocket cherry red and silver, and the FUN balloons in sunny yellow, teal, and violet. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny constellations, swirls, candle stripes, and lettering, then switch to markers for the big rocket body and balloons. Try a dark navy-to-purple space background so the candle flames and star balloons look extra bright.

Every evening, before the candles were lit, Soren tucked a small silver key inside his glove and checked the birthday rocket’s music box. He wanted to hear the tune his mother had hummed on their first night in the star-party hall. The key looked like nothing: dull, bent, and cold as moon gravel.

Until one day, the rocket stayed silent. Because of that, the balloons bobbed without dancing and the ringed planet’s glitter lamps blinked in worried little clicks. Because of that, Soren climbed onto the launch platform and tried the key in every lock he could reach. “Please know where you belong,” he whispered.

At last, he found a tiny keyhole under the rocket’s window. The silver key turned with a soft chime, and the candles burned blue-gold. Music poured out—not from the box, but from the stars overhead, each one ringing his mother’s tune. The whole hall swayed. If you listen closely next time, you may hear Soren’s small silver key, cold as moon gravel.
