🎨 How to color it

Color the sun golden yellow, the ringed planets lavender and teal, the striped gas giants orange and cream, and Earth blue with green continents. Use colored pencils for the narrow planet bands and ring lines, then fill the broad orbit spaces with light side-strokes so the circles stay smooth. Try making each orbit a faint different shade, like secret rainbow tracks circling the sun.

The sky club kept its stamp box beside the warm telescope gears, and Tavi needed the comet stamp before moonrise. The box was empty except for dust that smelled like old pennies. So Tavi slipped out of the observatory dome with a pocket lamp, following the painted orbit lines across the roof where the night wind made the metal hum.

Past the striped gas giants and the tiny cratered moon models, Tavi paid the price: one glove snagged on a ringed planet’s wire and stayed there, waving like a flag. Then came the quietest orbit, the one everyone stepped over because nothing rode on it. Under its loose black tape, something blinked. “You didn’t hear this from me,” Tavi whispered, peeling it back.

Inside was not a stamp but a silver pin shaped like a small listening dish, still ticking with star-static. Tavi carried it back as the dome turned overhead, and the telescope answered with a soft click-click, pointing to a comet no one had named yet. If you trace the empty-looking paths around the sun, can you spot where a secret might blink back?
