🎨 How to color it

Color the BOOST rocket cherry red, the astronaut’s helmet pale blue, the smiling moon buttery yellow, and the launch-pad smoke light gray. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big rocket body and cloud puffs, and don’t worry if the color hops over the thick lines. Try making the flame orange at the top and golden yellow at the bottom so the rocket looks warm as it rises.

Under the morning moon, Nella rubbed the tiny cloth patch in her glove. It was stitched from her old blanket, soft as a whisper. She wanted to fly, but the rocket felt too shiny, too tall, too far from her little room. Outside, engines hummed, mmm-mmm, and smoke curled around the pad.

Nella pressed the patch to the control panel. “Come with me,” she said. The rocket gave a gentle rumble, like a cat finding a lap. The letters on its side lit up: BOOST. From then on, every rocket wore that word so it would remember to lift travelers toward the place they belonged. Next time you spot those big letters, you’ll know Nella’s blanket-soft secret is riding along under the morning moon.
