🎨 How to color it

Color the beach rescue truck bright yellow, the surfboards turquoise and coral, Lifeguard Tower 1 sandy tan, and the sun a bold golden orange. Use sharp colored pencils for the tire treads, rope coils, railings, and tiny wave lines, then switch to broader strokes for the truck doors and sky. Try a warm-to-cool look by keeping the truck sunny and bright while shading the ocean in layered blue-green bands.

Every day before the noon whistle, Santos rolled the beach rescue truck along the hard, wet sand and invented a game he called Sand-Track. He tried to leave tire marks shaped like arrows for the gulls to follow, then checked the tower, the rescue board, and the rope coil while the ocean hissed like soda over shells.

Until one day, a spring tide swallowed the dune path to the far training cove. Because of that, the junior guards would arrive with no paddles, no flags, and no water jug. Because of THAT, Santos changed his game: every arrow-track pointed to a hidden bundle he dropped behind grass clumps and driftwood. “No points for me,” he whispered, grinning as the tires thumped through soft sand.

By sunset, the cove team found every bundle and ran their drill before anyone knew who had saved it. Santos just waved from the truck, smelling salt, sunscreen, and warm rubber. Next time you spot those chunky tire tracks near the tower, see if they look like arrows for gulls to follow.
