Each afternoon, Nola tapped her cart bell and played Cloud-Scoop: one scoop for every cloud shape drifting over the flower path. Plink went the spoon. Swish went the umbrella shade. She wanted the perfect cone for the last cloud before the sun slipped low.
One day, a cloud looked like two scoops wobbling on a cone. Nola stacked vanilla and berry—but the berry began to slide. Because of that, she held the cone high under the umbrella. Because of that, the cool shade made the scoop firm again, and the flowers smelled sweet as syrup.
“Stay, little cloud,” Nola whispered. At last she made the cone match the sky: round, soft, and just right. Next time you see the umbrella over Nola’s cart, can you find the scoop that belongs there?
