🎨 How to color it

Color the bear honey brown, the present bright red with a gold ribbon, the toy train pine green, and the fireplace flames orange and yellow. Use sharp colored pencils for the small garland ornaments, snowflakes, and train wheels, then switch to broader strokes for the bear’s face and tabletop. Try making the hanging stars silver and the little tabletop tree two alternating greens so the whole wrapping corner feels extra festive.

The story behind this coloring page

The Bow That Giggled — Under the paper garlands, Finch pressed one paw on a round gift box and tugged the ribbon with the other. Read the full story →

Under the paper garlands, Finch pressed one paw on a round gift box and tugged the ribbon with the other. He was saving his biggest laugh for the parlor party, where every toy on the shelf would trade one silly surprise before the fire went pop-pop. The room smelled like pine needles and warm dust from the train wheels, and each snowflake in the window shone like a tiny white cookie.

The ribbon roll gave a squeak. Finch stopped tying. He tapped it once. “Did you hiccup?” From the hole in the middle, a folded paper tongue slid out, followed by three striped confetti worms and a note: FOR THE WRAPPER, NOT THE GIFT. Finch snorted so hard the bow flipped sideways. Nobody ever checked inside the ribbon roll; it was famous for being boring.

He carried the giggle-note to the toy shelf, then to the train, then even to the quiet little tree by the fireplace. Soon everyone wanted a turn peeking through the ribbon roll, and every peek made another laugh tumble out. If you spot the round roll on the table, you’ll know where Finch’s biggest laugh was hiding under the paper garlands.
