She saved the last pitcher for herself—until one day the flower pot scraped strangely, and beneath the saucer lay a silver coin wrapped in a note: For whoever arrives thirsty after closing. Because of that, she filled one more cup; because of that, a tired mail carrier found it glowing in the late sun.
