Every day after rain, Pippa tapped one hoof into the meadow puddles, then hurried back to the warm smell of her straw shed. She wanted to reach the yellow flower patch, but the puddles went plip, plop, deep.
Until one day, a sheep and a frog appeared under a huge umbrella that hummed with every raindrop. “Want a dry corner?” asked the sheep. Because of that, Pippa stepped close. Because of THAT, her boot made one brave splash, then another, and the frog giggled like bubbles.
At last they reached the yellow flowers, shiny with rain. Pippa touched one soft petal and listened to the umbrella hum. Next time you see those three boots in the puddles, can you tell which brave splash was hers?
