“Not yet,” hummed a bee, dusted gold from head to toe. So Dovie waited, wings wiggling, while clouds puffed past and the sun climbed higher. At last, light slid across the sunflower’s crisscross middle. Tiny bright shapes popped between the lines: a secret path of sparkles pointing to a cool sip of dew under the lowest leaf.
