Behind the night clouds, Bryn pressed clay into a round moon-stamp with both thumbs. She wanted to make the sky forge’s first moon that could guide sleepy rockets home. Tap, pat, press. The warm clay smelled like rain on stone. But every stamp she made looked too smooth, and the rockets would slide right past it in the dark.

Then Bryn heard a tiny ping from the plainest dent, the one nobody had checked. Inside it was a star seed, no bigger than a crumb, ticking with silver light. “I can make a home for you,” Bryn whispered. She pressed her handmade dents all around the seed—big ovals, little circles, careful rings—until each one caught a sprinkle of glow. Ever since, moon craters hold bits of star shine, and if you peek among the round dents, you might spot the first secret Bryn pressed in by hand.
