Under the moon garage, Bex rubbed a dull lantern with a scratchy rag. The launch steps were cold under their boots, and the craters outside looked like giant soup bowls. Bex needed one star-chip to make the lantern glow for bedtime checks. “Just one,” Bex whispered, like a secret to the fuel hose.
Past the last safe rock, something sneezed—pfft! A tiny pocket comet tumbled from behind a crater, dusty and blue. It had a star-chip stuck to its tail, but it was shivering. Bex gave it the warm rag, and the chip popped loose with a ping. The comet winked its thanks and left a soft silver glow inside the lantern instead. Bex hurried home, smaller steps now, braver ones too. Next time you spot the round rocket window, see if the silver glow is keeping Bex’s secret.
