🎨 How to color it

Give the geometric monster teal and lime panels, the two big potion flasks violet and aqua liquid, and the lab gears a steely gray. Use sharp colored pencils for the monster’s many triangles, squares, and circuit-like arm details so each tiny shape stays crisp. Try making the round flasks glow with pale yellow highlights against a cooler blue-gray laboratory background.

Behind the tallest shelf of beakers, Zentro kept one empty space in his chest panel for a prism screw. Without it, his left arm clicked clack-clack instead of click-click, and the sound made the whole workbench stare. He stepped past the safe chalk line, into the warm fizz-smell of the far laboratory, where hoses drooped like sleeping snakes and brass gears ticked in the walls.

A bubble rose from a violet flask. “Psst. Wrong drawer,” it whispered, wobbling with a pop of peppermint steam. Zentro froze. Bubbles were not on the lab helper chart. Still, he followed it under a dangling drill, over a puddle that stained one foot blue, and between two bottles humming like bees.

The bubble stopped at a dusty little bench, too low for tall robots and too square for round ones. On it sat no prism screw—only a tray of triangle plates, circle knobs, and one perfect spot for Zentro’s elbow. He fitted a triangle into his chest, softer than the old screw and brighter, and his arm clicked click-click at last. Next time you spot the busy bench beside the bottles, keep this secret: some places have been waiting for your shape.
