Every night, Pip zoomed up the sky trail—whoosh, whoosh—to hear the star-bell ding. He waved at the moon and waited.
Until one night, a tiny comet sneezed, “A-choo!” and bumped the bell away. Because of that, Pip chased its silver smell. Because of THAT, the moon slid higher and the stars blinked slowly. Pip waited, wiggle-wiggle, then whispered, “Now?”
Ding! The bell rang at last, bright and sweet. Next time you see Pip’s waving arm, can you hear the whoosh, whoosh?
