🎨 How to color it

Use cherry red for the mushroom cap, creamy white for the spots and stem, sky blue for the raindrops, and bright green for the grass tufts. Chunky crayons are perfect for the big cap, round spots, and puddle rings; staying inside every line is optional. Try making the puddle a silly blue swirl, as if the raindrops are doing tiny belly flops.

The story behind this coloring page

Nori’s Plip-Plop Game — Every day, Nori stood in the puddle patch and counted rain: plip, plop, plup. He wanted the drops to land on his cap spots just right. Read the full story →

Every day, Nori stood in the puddle patch and counted rain: plip, plop, plup. He wanted the drops to land on his cap spots just right.

Until one day, he invented Cap-Spot Hop. “Boing here!” he giggled. Because of that, the raindrops bounced off his spots. Because of THAT, the puddles wiggled and splashed his grass friends’ toes. Finally, Nori shouted, “Home spot!” and every drop went plip-plop around him. Next time you see those puddle rings, can you tell where Nori’s game began?
