🎨 How to color it

Color the HARPER letters in soft lavender, the roses in coral pink, the daisies in golden yellow, and the curling vines in leafy green. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny leaf patterns inside the letters, then switch to broader strokes for the large petals around the edges. Try a pale sky-blue shadow behind the name so the bees, butterflies, and flower-filled letters feel tucked into one breezy garden.

The story behind this coloring page

Why Harper Holds the Vines — Under the glass roof of the conservatory arch, Harper tightened one harp string until it made a note as round as a raindrop. Read the full story →

Under the glass roof of the conservatory arch, Harper tightened one harp string until it made a note as round as a raindrop. She wanted to find where that note went after it left the string. It slipped between orange blossoms, hummed past a bee, and vanished into the letter H on her wooden name board.

A moth-sized gardener stepped from a curl of ivy, smelling of mint and rain. “Your note woke the sleeping stems,” he whispered. Harper leaned close. The letters on her board were plain, but inside them something tickled and turned: tiny shoots, petal cups, fern tips, all following the music.

Harper plucked the note again, softer. The vines settled into every curve of her name, not trapped, just resting, as if the letters were warm soil. Ever since, whenever the conservatory grows quiet, Harper’s name holds the vines in place until the next round raindrop note comes looking for them.
