Every morning on Rainbow Hill, Lumi zipped between flower stems and counted the cloud puffs for the parade. “One, two, achoo!” she sang, because the clouds smelled like vanilla soap and always made her nose wiggle. She wanted every puff in place before the unicorns marched under the bright arch. Until one day, Pip the unicorn’s silver neck bell went clink-clonk instead of ding-ding, and crumbs popped out like tiny brown fireworks.
Because of that, Lumi peeked inside the bell and found a whole surprise stash of honey sprinkles, hidden where nobody had thought to look. Because of THAT, the smallest parade ants stopped marching and stared, their tummies making peep-peep sounds. Lumi grinned, tipped her wand, and sent the sprinkles drifting down behind a cloud where no one could clap for her. Finally, the ants marched sugar-footed, Pip’s bell rang clear, and Lumi counted again with a vanilla-soap sniff. If you peek at the stars near her wand, can you spot the last secret sprinkle?
