🎨 How to color it

Color the flower hijab sky blue with yellow daisy centers, the round glasses lavender, the star charm gold, and the leafy background mint green. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the large scarf and jacket spaces, and don’t worry if little petals or bubbles get skipped. For extra sparkle, make the bubbles fade from pale blue to clear and give the two background stars matching golden edges.

Every evening, Raya tapped her tiny star charm and raced between bazaar stalls, showing lantern sellers where to line up before the moon drum went boom-boom. The charm had belonged to Aunt Sami, who said, “It points to the place that wants you.” Raya wanted to lead the first lantern parade all by herself.

Until one windy evening, the paper map snapped loose and spun into the spice awning, smelling of cinnamon and dust. Because of that, the drummers marched toward the quiet alley. Because of that, the lantern carts bumped, clink-clink, and everyone called, “Which way?” Raya felt the star charm swing against her cheek. She followed its tickle past soap bubbles, flower buckets, and leafy banners until the street opened bright and wide.

Finally, Raya lifted the star and shouted, “Parade, this way!” The drums found her feet, the lanterns found the music, and Raya found the exact corner where she belonged. Next time you see her star charm, can you tell which way it is pointing?
