Under the tool shelf, Rex zipped from wrench to screwdriver, click-clack, click-clack. He wanted the little launch cart ready before the hallway race began, so he tightened four wheels, tapped two buttons, and hummed over the warm smell of oil.
His friend Zuzu rolled by with a squeaky axle. Rex slid one last shiny bolt into her cart while nobody looked. Then he opened the plain mitten drawer for his own glove—and blinked. Inside sat a tiny golden spark, tucked in a folded note: “For the helper who helps in secret.”
