Every evening, down lantern alley, Nico tapped his tall hat buckle and played Clover Thunder: one pat, two pats, then a grand paw-boom on the cobbles. He wanted the sleepy parade gate to open with his brand-new game. Until one evening, three shamrocks beside the gate whispered, “Wait for us.”
Because of that, Nico held his paws still while lanterns hissed and the alley smelled like warm rain. The first shamrock rustled. Because of that, he waited longer, tail twitch-twitching, until the second shook silver drops from its leaf. At last the third clover gave a tiny clap. “Boom!” Nico tapped once, twice, thrice—and the gate sprang wide to music. If you spot his clover bundle, can you guess which leaf clapped last?
