🎨 How to color it

Color the jellyfish bell peachy pink, the sand dollar sandy beige, the left ferny plant sea green, and the tall right plant kelp green. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big bell and sandy hills, then try a sharper crayon point for the tiny oval marks on the sand dollar. Add a pale blue wash or light side-strokes around the bubbles so the smiling jellyfish looks like it is floating through clear water.

Under the ripple flats, hush-hush, Lumi counted bubbles. Plip. Plip. Plip. She wanted them to rise in bunches, but each one popped up alone. “Wait for the quiet spot,” whispered a tiny crab, then scooted under a leaf.

Lumi waited until the sand felt cool and the water smelled like clean shells. Nothing happened. Then a flat round sand dollar gave the smallest wiggle. Lumi peeked beneath it and found a hidden bubble seed, tapping tick-tick-tick.

She did not grab it. She waited one more plip. Up burst a whole string of bubbles! Ever since, bubbles in the ripple flats come after a patient pause—can you find the sand dollar keeping the secret?
