🎨 How to color it

Color the jellyfish’s spotted bell coral pink, its long ribbon tentacles pale lavender, the anglerfish deep teal, and the rocky reef sandy tan. Use sharp colored pencils for the many oval spots and skinny tentacle lines, then switch to broader strokes on the open water streaks. Try making the anglerfish’s lure a bright lemon yellow so it looks extra suspicious beside the soft jellyfish colors.

Every day, Dax drifted through the canyon reef counting oddities: three chimney sponges, seven bubble strings, and one pebble shaped like a sneeze. He wanted to find something so strange it needed a brand-new name in his wobble-notebook. The water smelled salty and sharp where the rocks pinched the current.

Then one day, a tiny light bobbed beside a fish with teeth like broken shells. “Keep away,” snapped the fish. “I’m guarding a bite so dangerous it bites back!” Because of that, Dax floated closer. Because of THAT, the fish backed into a curtain of tickle-weed, sneezed bubbles, and dropped a stolen crab claw he had been wearing like a fierce extra tooth.

Dax laughed until his tentacles curled. The “dangerous bite” clicked angrily and scuttled home, while the fish tried to look noble with seaweed on his nose. Dax wrote a new name at last: Borrowed Bite. If you trace the bubbles near the toothy grin, can you spot where curiosity ran away with him?
