🎨 How to color it

Color the frosting strawberry pink, the bunny ears soft lavender, the decorated eggs robin’s-egg blue and lemon yellow, and the tulips bright coral. Use chunky crayons for the big frosting swirls and wrapper panels, then help with a sharper crayon tip for the tiny stars, hearts, and flower centers. Try making every polka dot on the wrapper a different spring color, like a secret confetti code.

Behind the tall tulips, Lulu tucked her bunny ears low and made a secret dare: find five spring colors before the buttercups rang. She rolled off the picnic cloth onto the cool, tickly path, past buzzing wings and leaf shadows. Pink from a tulip, yellow from pollen, blue from a butterfly—easy! But green waited beyond a puddle that smelled like rain.

“Hop, don’t flop,” whispered Lulu. She hopped. Splash! Her frosting stars got muddy at the tips, but a tiny leaf stuck there too. That made five. Back at the stand, Lulu dotted her wrapper with every color and called, “Secret code for everyone!” Next time you spot the tiny dots near her tulips, can you guess which color made her splash?
