🎨 How to color it

Color the dragon emerald green with ivory belly plates, the ninja’s outfit deep indigo, the floating castles warm gray, and the mountain peaks snowy blue. Use sharp colored pencils for the dragon’s many scales, saddle patterns, and tiny tassels, then fill the broad wings with smoother marker strokes. Try a pale lavender-to-gold sunset behind the curling wind lines so the cloud castles feel far away and magical.

The story behind this coloring page

Above the high peaks, Yori loosened the blue ribbon from his sleeve and held it tight in the cold wind. He had meant to tie it to the tallest festival pole before moonrise, where everyone could see its silver thread flash. His dragon, Mizu, glided through thin clouds that smelled like snow and cedar smoke from villages far below.

As they passed the cloud castles, Yori noticed small round doors opening in the mist. Tiny boats drifted out, each carrying a sleepy lamp no bigger than a peach pit. The boats wobbled in the curling air. Yori did not call to anyone. He only cut his ribbon into six soft strips and knotted them to the invisible wind-paths. “There,” he whispered.

Then the twist came: the ribbon was not only cloth. Each strip remembered every kind hand that had touched it—his aunt’s sewing needle, Mizu’s warm breath, Yori’s own careful fingers. The wind began to glow blue along those knots, and the lamp boats followed home without ever knowing his name. If you trace the sky swirls, you may find where Yori’s blue ribbon first met the cold wind.
