Every day, before nap, Bramble pressed his paws into the starry rug and watched dust float like tiny moons in the playroom light. He wanted to save the brightest speck for his birthday candle.
Until one day, the candle flame wiggled and shone so warmly that Bramble invented a game called Pass the Glow. “Your turn,” he whispered, nudging the cake toward the bone balloons. Because of that, the shiny balloons trembled and tossed soft light onto the paw flags. Because of that, the flags seemed to wave the glow across every star on the rug.
