🎨 How to color it

Color the plum deep violet, the curved stem warm brown, the leaves fresh green, and the little five-petal blossom pale pink. Use chunky crayons or broad marker strokes for the plum’s big oval shape, then let your child trace the leaf veins with a sharper green if they want. Try making one side of the plum a lighter purple so it looks round and sunny under the branch.

Under a leafy orchard roof, Ludo the plum leaned toward a silver puff of spring mist. He wanted one cool sip before the sun warmed the branch. Drip, drip, went the leaves. Ludo wiggled loose and rolled down the soft bark, bumping his smooth side on a knobby twig.

In a hollow below, a sleepy cricket shivered beside a dry moss cup. “May I have a little?” she chirped. Ludo shared the mist, and her tiny song filled the branches like bells. The sound made more mist gather, enough for Ludo, the cricket, and every thirsty bud. He climbed home with a purple shine that felt too big to keep. Can you find the blossom that heard the bells under the leafy orchard roof?
