🎨 How to color it

Use pumpkin orange for the big round pumpkin, forest green for the leaf and curly vines, and tan brown for the tall stem. Chunky crayons work well on the wide pumpkin sections, and it is okay if little hands color over the bold lines. Try making each pumpkin bump a different orange, from peach to bright tangerine.

Under the porch, Pip tapped one curly vine. “Follow the curl,” Pip whispered. Swish, swish! The vine pointed past the steps, so Pip rolled out to play the brand-new game.

The grass felt cold and tickly. A cricket chirped, cheep-cheep, and Pip bumped a pebble—bonk! One leaf snagged on a twig, but the vine curled on to a quiet circle of pumpkins glowing soft in the moon smell.

“Home,” hummed the pumpkins. Pip rolled back with a tiny moonbeam tucked in the stem, right where Pip belonged. Can you find the curly vine that showed the way?
