Every evening, Luma zipped through Buttoncap Glen, tapping each mushroom with her star wand. Ping! The caps glowed, the flowers nodded, and her antenna light blinked as she counted, “One, two, three!” She wanted every path bright before the moon-moths woke. Until one day, a tiny green glimmer bounced out from under the biggest red mushroom and squeaked, “Catch me if you can!”
Because of that, Luma darted after it through tickly grass that smelled like rain. Because of THAT, she found a hidden tunnel where sleepy glowbugs were stuck behind a curled fern leaf, buzzing bzz-bzz-bzz. Luma twirled her wand, lifted the leaf, and the glimmer split into twenty lights racing down every path. Finally, Buttoncap Glen shone brighter than ever. Next time you spot the star wand, can you guess which sparkle ran away first?
