Above the giggle sky, Bix pressed paper feathers onto two wings with a sticky dab-dab-dab. The paste smelled like peppermint, and the feathers made a soft shush when Bix flapped them. “I made these myself!” Bix chirped, bobbing between marshmallowy clouds while the small stars blinked as if they wanted a turn with the glue brush.
Bix tucked one last feather under a cloud puff and felt a tiny bump. Out popped a star-stamp, hidden in a secret cloud pocket where nobody had checked—not even the nosy breeze. Plip! Bix stamped gold stars across the wings, then stamped one on each cheek by mistake, which made the moon snort behind a cloud. Soon the handmade wings carried Bix in loopy, proud circles, shush-shush, sparkle-sparkle. If you spot the smiling heart between the clouds, see whether those stars look freshly stamped by peppermint paste.
