🎨 How to color it

Color the pumpkin carriage a deep harvest orange, the crescent moon antique gold, the bat wings smoky violet, and the hanging lantern warm amber. Use sharp colored pencils for the crown points, wheel spokes, curtain folds, and tiny diamond panels, then fill the pumpkin’s broad ribs with smooth layered strokes. Try a midnight-to-indigo gradient behind the clouds so the orange jack-o’-lantern face feels like the brightest secret on the road.

The story behind this coloring page

At the moon depot, Cassian kept a silver tally pin beside the coach bell and promised himself one mile without ringing it. The pumpkin carriage waited warm as baked spice, its crown points pricking little stars from the dark, and every wheel scroll seemed eager to gossip. He lifted the reins anyway. If you want the secret, here it is: the first quiet mile is never quiet. Clouds rubbed like velvet under the runners, bats clicked their small teeth overhead, and the lantern glass gave a patient tick whenever the road curved.

Halfway out, a loose wheel jewel began to rattle. Cassian could have tapped the bell and summoned help, but that would spoil the challenge, so he traded his velvet glove for the job, pressing the jewel tight with bare fingers gone cold from moonlight. The rattle stopped. In its place came a sound he had never heard from inside the depot: the carriage’s carved panels humming, low and steady, answering the crescent above. He came back with the tally pin unused, one glove missing, and a tune tucked under his sleeve. At the moon depot, Cassian kept a silver tally pin beside the coach bell.
