🎨 How to color it

Color the cupcake wrapper in sky blue and lemon yellow stripes, the frosting strawberry pink, the candle lavender, and the balloons cherry red, teal, and sunny orange. Use chunky crayons to fill the big frosting swirls first, then add gentle dots and stripes inside the wrapper panels. Try making the candle flame yellow in the middle with a soft orange edge, like it is warming the party air.

On the party table, Pip wanted one quiet cheer before the room filled with claps and crumbs. He made up a game called Candlelight Count: follow three floating shapes, whisper a wish to each one, then bring the softest wish back home.

Pip scooted from his paper cup to the edge of the plate. Crinkle, crinkle went his wrapper. A star bobbed high, a heart balloon tugged low, and a round balloon shone like a little moon. His frosting got chilly away from the candle. “Almost there,” he whispered.

At the last balloon, Pip heard the softest wish of all: stay. So he came back, wobbly but glad, and let the candle warm his pink frosting. Next time you see the stars and balloons around Pip, can you find the three shapes that brought him home?
