🎨 How to color it

Color the superhero’s hood creamy white, the antlers warm tan, the cape ruby red, and the gift box peppermint green with a gold bow. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big cape, roofs, and tree shapes, and don’t worry if little hands color past the snowflake lines. Try making every cottage roof a different candy color so the flying gift looks like it is swooping over a secret holiday map.

Between snowy roofs, a little superhero named Brenna invented a game called Gift Glide: carry one ribboned box, hear no bells, leave no footprints. The prize was a cinnamon star cookie she had tucked in her cape pocket. Shhh—you and I know she wanted that cookie badly.

Then she heard a tiny clink from the church bell rope. A sparrow had frozen toes and no nest. Brenna opened her prize box, pulled out the soft red scarf inside, and tucked it around the bird’s steeple perch. No one saw. The chimneys below puffed warm smoke in round, happy bursts. “Thank you,” whispered Brenna, pretending not to hear. Ever since, village chimneys puff thanks when a secret gift is given; next time you see the smoke curls, can you spot which roof knows?
